TICKETS
Ticket presales for the TARMAC Festival 2026 will start on Friday, March 13. As in the previous year, two ticket contingents will be available online at different times. The first contingent will be available from 10 a.m. The second will then be added at 6 p.m.
TICKET PRICE
Unfortunately, we are unable to maintain ticket prices at last year's level. This means that we have to raise the ticket prices again. We would therefore like to provide you with as much transparency as possible regarding the breakdown of the ticket price.
What does this mean?
As you have probably noticed, prices have increased sharply in many areas. For us, this is particularly noticeable in the rental of equipment and the use of services. Additionally, the town of Allstedt has changed its entertainment tax regulations. As a result, even our non-profit organization is now required to pay a fee of about €2 per ticket to the municipality.
At the same time, it is our aim to maintain the standards we have set so far and, if possible, to improve them. Additionally, it is important for us as an association to avoid debt. In order to continue to offer a high-quality festival program in a safe environment, a price adjustment is therefore unavoidable.
We are a non-profit association that is supported by the work of its volunteer members and the unpaid efforts of many wonderful helpers. As a non-profit association, we do not aim to make any profit. All of our income is therefore used to realize the cultural events organized by TARMAC e.V. Our aim is to cover our costs and build up a small reserve for unexpected expenses (keyword: bottled water, for whatever reason we might need it). Therefore, only essential service providers, such as the Dixie supplier, make money from the TARMAC Festival, but unfortunately we do not. This year, we want to break down where all the money goes in as much detail as possible:
Why your ticket is more than just admission
The income from the ticket presales is the basis for us to be able to work fairly and sustainably, with room for diversity and inclusion.
The following graphic illustrates how the money is used. A lot happens behind the scenes to make the TARMAC Festival happen again, and with costs rising every year, this is becoming more and more difficult.
Our total expenses in 2025 was around €710,000 – wow, right? This sum was largely spent for two main categories:
Festival Program – what makes TARMAC what it is:
a diverse lineup, lovingly designed stages, great lighting and sound, as well as a wide range of participation, guest logistics, and care work. In other words, everything you experience directly.
Festival Production – what makes it all possible:
This includes everything from sanitary facilities and electricity to security, crew catering, and venue rental. These are the basics that are necessary for everything to work.
In addition, financial reserves, subsequent payments, and administrative and volunteer expenses are necessary to ensure that we can continue celebrating together in the future. In short: everything related to organizing the festival.
And where does the money come from?
The vast majority comes from you – the ticket buyers! A smaller portion comes from TARMAC catering and the bus shuttle. In 2025, we additionally obtained project funding from Initiative Musik's Festival Support Fund, which supports music festivals with a socio-cultural focus. This allowed us to implement and further expand our participation concept, as well as to pay the artists on the band stage more appropriately. Additionally, it provided the opportunity to implement an alternative power supply, which made the festival more sustainable. We want to continue working on these aspects and develop them further in the future.
TICKET CATEGORIES
To keep the price increase for regular festival tickets within a reasonable range, we introduced a Supporter Ticket last year. Since this concept worked well, we want to continue with it. We would like to give special thanks to everyone who supports us by purchasing one of these more expensive tickets.
* Standard Festival Ticket: €195 + advance booking fee
* Supporter Festival Ticket: €235 + advance booking fee (approx. one third of festival tickets)
* Camper Ticket: €50 + advance booking fee
* Participation Ticket: €95 + advance booking fee.
In the first sales round starting at 10 a.m., only supporter tickets will be available. Standard festival tickets will only be available from 6 p.m. The camper ticket allows you to park your camper on the campground. It is an additional ticket that is only valid in combination with a festival ticket. The participation tickets are reserved for people with a disabled person's pass. They will be sold at a later date. Further information on this will follow soon. In addition, there will again be an opportunity to register as a volunteer. More information will follow in the coming months.
Thank you for making the TARMAC Festival possible again by purchasing your ticket. We couldn't do it without you! <3
